Understanding the usability and design limitations of current medication bottles led to the invention of an innovative medication bottle that provides improvements in ergonomics, readability and safety.
The Center for Universal Design at North Carolina State University provides an overview of key principles or guidelines for universal product design that accomodates the wide variety of human capabilities and attributes. The guidelines are downloadable and are also provided in several different languages.
Often user and design research is focused on developing new technologies and products, but the role of technology in such research is not given a lot of attention.
Rob Tannen maintains a site/blog with a focus on emerging technologies for use in user and design research. The emphasis is primarily on software and human-computer interaction, but occasionally addresses product design as well.
The site "Value-Created Review" (Candian ejournal for contemporary furniture design) has a page dedicated to ergonomic information and resources. It includes basic information and diagrams (pictured), links to other online resources and ergonomcs books.
